This brilliant modification provides a tiny, blood-red focal point that mimics emerging gills or a distinct pocket of color, drawing aggressive strikes without disrupting the fly's essential, organic silhouette.

Designed for the Musconetcong River in NJ, but effective all over the east coast and beyond I'm sure. Olive thread body and rib with a fine muskrat/trilobal dubbing blend with red sharpie hot spot.
